PURPOSE: To provide a device which can bore a through-hole correctly in a boring specific place.
CONSTITUTION: A boring device is constituted of a cutting bit 14, rotating drive mechanism 16, clamping mechanism 18 and supporting mechanism 20. The mechanism 16 has a driving gear 16a, a driven gear 16b, a gear box 16c and a motor 16d. The supporting mechanism 20 has a support 20a, a rack 20b, a pinion 20c, and a slider 20e moving vertically along the longitudinal axis direction of the support 20a. The mechanism 18 holds the outer peripheral edge of a guide hole 22 previously bored at the center of a through-hole to be bored so as to position and fix the mechanism 16 to the outer periphery of a pipe body 10, and this mechanism 18 is constituted of a rod 24 inserted into the guide hole 22, and an expandable clamp part 26 provided at the tip side of the rod 24 and enlarged or contracted in diameter in association with the longitudinal movement of the rod 24 in such a way that the diameter of the outer peripheral edge in the diameter enlarged state is larger than the inner peripheral diameter of the guide hole 22 while the diameter of the outer peripheral edge in the diameter contracted state is smaller than the inner peripheral diameter of the guide hole 22.
