Title:
BOTH END INWARD BENDING METHOD FOR COIL SPRING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3266528
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a both end inward bending method for coil spring by which sharp corner parts of both start end and tail end are not bulged at a spring seat when both ends of a coil spring are bent inward in the coil spring axial direction.
SOLUTION: After a wire W of a prescribed length is sent out from a wire guide 2 and a start end part of a coil spring is formed, a start end holding back part Wd of the wire W is held back by a wire pinching tool 13, by simultaneously pressing a start end pressing part Wb of the wire W by a start end pressing tool 23 in the direction opposite to the coil spring forming direction, a start end of the wire W is bent inward in the direction opposite to the coil forming direction, successively, after the wire W is sent out and the coil spring of a prescribed number of coilings is formed, a tail end holding back part of the wire W is held back by the wire pinching tool 13, by simultaneously pressing a tail end pressing part of the wire W by a wedge type pitch tool or a pressing pitch tool in the coil spring forming direction, a tail end of the wire W is bent inward in the coil spring forming direction.
