Abstract:

To provide a bottle-washing method capable of more efficiently washing bottles each having a different capacity.

The bottle-washing method comprising immersing a bottle with a label attached thereto in a cleaning liquid disposed in cleaning tanks (2, 3) to exfoliate the label therefrom, discharging the dregs of the label by allowing them to overflow from the cleaning tanks (2, 3) together with the cleaning liquid and transferring them to a cushion tank (6), drawing the dregs of the label and the cleaning liquid out of the cushion tank (6) to filtrate the same, and recycling the cleaning liquid removed of the dregs of the label to the cleaning tanks (2, 3), is characterized in that, upon applying the bottle-washing method to a bottle of a second capacity different from a first capacity subsequent to applying the bottle-washing method to a bottle of the first capacity, the cleaning liquid in the cleaning tanks (2, 3) is discharged in an amount greater by an increment corresponding to the differential capacity of the first and the second bottles if the second capacity is greater than the first capacity by allowing it to overflow therefrom and is stored in the cushion tank (6), or the cleaning liquid removed of the dregs of the label by filtration is recycled in an amount greater by an increment corresponding to the differential capacity of the first and the second bottles to the cleaning tanks (2, 3) if the second capacity is smaller than the first capacity.
