Title:
BOVINE LEUKEMIA VACCINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6344531
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled vaccine, by infecting a cultured cell with bovine leukemia virus, concentrating, purifying and inactivating the obtained bovine leukemia virus and using the obtained inactivated antigen as an active component.

CONSTITUTION: Cultured bovine fetus pulmonary cell is infected with bovine leukemia virus and the cell culture liquid is collected. The liquid is added with polyethylene glycol 6,000, etc., at a concentration of 10vol%, left standing at 4°C for a night and centrifuged. The precipitate is dissolved in a phosphate buffer solution and concentrated. The concentrated virus liquid is purified e.g. by ultracentrifugal separation by zonal centrifugation. The purified virus produced by the above process is inactivated e.g. with formalin. The objective liquid vaccine can be produced by adding a hydrophilic oily adjuvant to the inactivated antigen liquid. The vaccine is excellent in safety and effectivity and is able to prevent the infection with said virus.
