Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a toilet seat useful for specific users who cannot use a conventional toilet seat and feel uncomfortable to a heightened toilet seat by providing a groove along the contour of a seat surface, attaching a cushion in the groove, and providing the cushion with a member filled with a foam rubber material, air, water, a suitable gel, etc. CONSTITUTION: A seat body 2 is provided with a groove 6 formed along the contour of a seat surface 7. Then, a cushion 4 is provided in the groove 6. The seat body 2 is used on a conventional stool. The groove 6 and cushion 4 are sized to just fit to each other. In addition, a pressure-sensitive adhesive surface may be provided on the lower side of the cushion 4. The depth of the groove 6 and thickness of the cushion 4 are arranged so that a filling may extrude above the seat surface 7, a soft filling 20 such as foam rubber is inserted into the casing 5 of the cushion 4, and then the casing 5 is sealed. Air may be compressed into the casing 5, or the casing 5 may be filled with water, or a suitable gel material.
