PURPOSE: To provide a box with a lid by which display space can be effectively used.

CONSTITUTION: A box (B) with a lid is composed of a box body 3 in which side plates 2a-2d are erected around the bottom plate 1 to make an opening at the upper face and a lid body 5 having the upper face plate 4 to cover the opening face of the box body 3 and lid side plates 7a unified with the upper face plate 4 and superposing with the outer face of the side plate 2c of the box body 3 and further, which is made so as to be rotatable around the rotary center of the lower edge of the side plate 2c of the box body 3. A belt-form joint member 6 is formed to have a smaller width than the height of side plate 2c of box body 3. One side edge of the joint member 6 is fitted to the lower edge of side plate 2c so as to be freely bent and the other side edge of joint member 6 is fitted to the inside face of the lid side plate 7a so as to be freely bent. In this way, the box body 3 is connected to the lid body 5 through the joint member 6.
