PURPOSE: To provide a building brace having a plurality of functions for joining beams and for locking a safety net, by incorporating a brace for coupling a plurality of members together, thereto with a locking part for locking the safety net.

CONSTITUTION: A building brace 10 is composed of a brace body 16 formed of a U-like rod-like member 12 having sharpened nail end parts 14, and a locking part 18 formed on the brace body 16. The locking part 18 is adapted to hook one of main nets 24 which are laid at the outer periphery of the net area 22 of a safety net 20 or at suitable positions thereof. Further, the locking part 18 is composed of a curved part extending from one end of the rod-like member 12, and an engaging part 28 and an introducing part 30. That is, the curved part 26 locks the main net 24 while the engaging part 28 restrains the main net 24 from coming off, and the introducing part 30 facilitates the introduction of the main net 24. Meanwhile, upon use, the building brace 32 are driven into joint parts of a plurality of beams 32 or the like together with a conventional brace 36.
