PURPOSE: To provide a braid structure, having plural spatial parts arranged therein, improved in rigidity and strength and capable of readily retaining the shape and utilizing the plural spatial parts for multifunction.
CONSTITUTION: This braid structure is composed of an outer wall part (p1), an inner wall part (p2) and rib parts (p3) arranged between the outer and inner wall parts and has plural spatial parts (g1) to (g9) arranged therein. The braid structure can be used for conveying and storing respective fluids of different kinds such as a liquid, powder or a gas as a heat insulating tubular unit with the respective spatial parts (g) or as a heat insulting tubular unit by filling a cooled fluid in the central spatial part (g1) and a heat insulating material in the surrounding spatial parts (g2) to (g9). This structure is obtained by running each bobbin carrier (C) along a track (b2) composed of an outside track (b3), an inside track (b4) and a connecting track (b5), interlacing yarn (y) on a rigid mandrel (m1) and flexible mandrels (m2) to (m9) arranged around the rigid mandrel (m1), plaiting the braid structure and pulling the plaited braid structure with a pulling device (T).
