Abstract:

To provide a braid tube in which high bending strength and compression strength can be obtained even if the adhering rate of phenol resin which is a curing agent is reduced.

After applying about 1.2 percentage by weight of binder in a solid portion to the surfaces of glass fibers of 9μ in diameter, 200 fibers are bundled, and are taken up on a paper roll as glass strands so as to make a cake. The glass strands are released from the plural cakes, and are twisted with a twist number 1.0 so as to obtain a single yarn. Thereafter, two of these single yarns are bundled, and are doubling twisted with the twist number 4.0 so as to obtain wefts. From the wefts and warps such a braid tube as the number of the wefts are 64, the number of the warps are 32, and the weave density is 36mesh/25mm is made using a braid machine.
