To provide a braider system capable of forming braids having various kinds of shapes and including complicatedly shaped braids by having a controller for the NC control of the actions of both a braider and a robot arm.

This braider system has a braider 1 for forming a braid on a mandrel, a robot arm 2 disposed in a state relatively movable to the braider and capable of gripping the mandrel and being highly freely moved in the braider 1, and a controller 3 for the NC control of the actions of both the braider 1 and the robot arm 2. The braider system is preferably further provided with a mandrel shape-recognizing member 8 for approximating the mandrel as the aggregate of many columnar portions to recognize the shape of the mandrel.
