PURPOSE: To obtain a braider capable of realizing stable plaiting without entangling plaited yarn in an irregular state near a plaiting point and producing a braid of a uniform and stable shape.

CONSTITUTION: This braider is obtained by installing the first guide member (g1) for stabilizing a plaiting position in a frame (g1') extending from an intermediate sidewall (Fb") of a frame (Fb) in nearly the horizontal direction, attaching the second guide member (g2) for stabilizing the plaiting position to a frame (g2') standing on a floor member (Fr) and constructing a guide member (G) for stabilizing the plaiting position. The guide member (G) is capable of guiding yarn (Y) swaying by the movement in the transverse direction of each bobbin carrier (C) running along a track bored in the upper plate (U) while meandering with guide members (g) and (g2) arranged at a prescribed interval, regulating the sway thereof and thereby maintaining the plaiting point at nearly a constant position.
