PURPOSE: To provide a braider capable of plaiting yarns into a mandrel of a complicated shape such as a closed loop mandrel, a continuous mandrel or a combination of both by using a separable and joinable braider body.

CONSTITUTION: This braider is constituted by dividing a braider body (B) into the upper half (B1) and the lower half (B2), respectively attaching both to horizontal frames (n6) and (n6'), making both separable or joinable by driving with a reversibly rotatable motor (n9), constituting a braider body separator (N), respectively arranging the lower moving table (h7) so as to enable suitable travel thereof along lower rails (h8) and (h9) and the upper moving table (h10) so as to enable suitable travel thereof along upper rails (h11) and (h12) in a mandrel holder (H) and suitably rotating a rotating table (h2) so as to enable the two-dimensional positional control of a mandrel (M) held by clampers (h3) and (h4) attached to a support (h1) standing on the rotating table (h2) or standing a support (n1) of the separator (N) in place of the mandrel holder (H) on the rotating table (h2) so as to enable the two-dimensional positional control of the braider body (B). Thereby, the plaiting of the yarns into the mandrel (M) of a complicated shape can be carried out.
