PURPOSE: To improve the degree of freedom of a braid and eliminate noise by forming the travel of bobbin carriers into a linear motor system.
CONSTITUTION: This braider is obtained by horizontally arranging diskllke guide members (g1) and (g2) at, an interval so as to enable the insertion of a lower flange (c2) of each bobbin carrier to which a disklike permanent magnet (M) is attached on a substrate (F) of the bobbin carrier (C), arranging a row (h) of horizontal coils and a row (v) of vertical coils on the undersurface of the substrate (F), installing a photoelectric sensor (s) capable of sensing the passage of the bobbin carrier (C) in nearly the center of each intersecting point, forming a travel passage of a linear motor system, further arranging universal ball bearings (c5) on the undersurface of the permanent magnet (M) opposite to the substrate (F), reducing the frictional resistance between the magnet (M) and the substrate (F), boring a suitable number of compressed air blowoff holes in the substrate (F) and reducing the friction between the substrate (F) and the bobbin carrier (C).
