This braider has such a scheme that a cylindrical guide 3a with its lower end provided with a slit 10 through the axis over a specified length is vertically set up at the center of a guide board 2, a continuous rod 4a is disposed in a vertically movable manner inside the cylindrical guide 3a, a split conical chuck 5 is set up on the top of the rod 4a and a thin wire 6 is nipped with the chuck 5, the tip of the wire 6 is disposed projectedly at a necessary length above the through port 8 of a metallic cap 7 located above the center of the guide board 2, a horizontal pin 11 crossing the axis is slidably disposed along the slit 10 under the rod 4a, and a sensor 12 is set up close to the horizontal pin 11 so as to actuate when the pin 11 descends.
