To provide a brake circuit for a linear motor, capable of controlling the braking force of a linear motor from the outside.
The brake circuit for a linear motor has: a three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit 20, connected in parallel with a load 1 of the linear motor; a current-limiting resistor Ra, connected in series with the rectifier circuit 20 and limiting a current outputted from the load 1 of the motor; and a constant-current circuit 21, connected in series to the current-limiting resistor Ra. The constant current circuit 21 has a driving transistor M, an operation amplifier OP for controlling a voltage thereof, a reference resistor Rs connected to a reverse input terminal thereof, and a phase compensation circuit for preventing oscillation. As the driving transistor M, an n-channel power MOSFET is preferably used.
