Abstract:

PURPOSE: To decrease power consumption in a hydraulic brake means by controlling a regenerative braking power to a required braking power, when the required braking power from a vehicle driver is smaller than a maximum regenerative braking power, and changing the value of the drive current of the hydraulic brake means following the change of the value of the required braking power.
CONSTITUTION: When a brake torque required by a vehicle driver can be obtained only by regeneration and oil pressure is not needed for the braking force, a regeneration ECU 38 reports to a motor ECU 16 that the value of the regenerative brake torque should be a needed for braking. And the ECU 16 causes a motor 10 to generate a regenerative brake torque corresponding to a needed brake torque. Next, the ECU 38 operates the valve opening pressures of linear solenoids 26 and 28 on the basis of the needed brake torque, and operates drive currents necessary for obtaining the valve opening pressures. These drive current values change following the magnitude of the needed brake torque. Consequently, energy efficiency can be made higher.
