Abstract:

PURPOSE: To maintain the effectiveness of a brake constant irrespective of conditions such as gradient and stacked loads by controlling a valve of an actuator for producing hydraulic brake pressure with a microprocessor according to brake controlling input.

CONSTITUTION: An actuator 4 for producing hydraulic brake pressure is controlled by a valve 2 provided between itself and a pressure source 3 and the valve 2 is controlled by a microprocessor 1 to which brake controlling input signal is sent from a pedalling force sensor 19 to control the valve 2 together with speed signal from a speed sensor 18 such that deceleration corresponding to the pedalling force is produced. Thus, change in the effectiveness of the brake can be eliminated even though conditions of stacked loads, gradient, etc. are changed.
