Abstract:
To provide a brake device making it easy for a vehicle to start on a hill or climb uphill and being manufacturable as a small and lightweight one for providing a stable braking force under any conditions, as when it rains.
The brake device is provided on the rotating shaft of a wheel to regulate the rotation of the wheel via a brake drum which rotates along with the rotating shaft. The brake device includes a lock shoe which is wedged onto the inner peripheral surface of the brake drum during rotation of the brake drum in either its normal or revere direction to regulate the rotation of the brake drum in its normal or reverse direction.
