Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the number of steps in manufacturing by engaging a rim clamping nut at the intermediate of a bolt for securing a brake plate and a rotary rim, forming threads on the outside of the nut, inserting a screw to the threads, adjusting a gap between the rim and the brake plate, and then clamping the brake plate. CONSTITUTION:Before a rotary rim 4 and a brake plate are secured, a bolt 6 is buried in the rim 4, and the rim is secured by a nut 5a. Threads C are formed on a stepwise portion 5 having small diameter of the nut 5a, a nut 10 is engaged with the threads, the size is adjusted, a nut 9 is then engaged with the threads of the bolt 6, and the braking surface (a) of a brake plate 1 is secured to the prescribed surface. Thus, a labor of inserting and removing a port liner is omitted, thereby reducing the number of the steps of adjusting the brake surface.
