Title:
BRAKE WIND-UP PREVENTIVE DEVICE FOR EQUALIZER LINK SUSPENSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5744506
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent brake wind-up action of a vehicle at its travelling on a bad road in an equalizer link suspension, by interposing a shock absorber with an anti- dive mechanism between a rear axle housing and car body.

CONSTITUTION: In a suspension for a rear front axle 1 in a vehicle, a rear front axle housing 7 is supported to a car body 9 through a torque rod 8 and shock absorber 10 with an anti-dive mechanism. The above described shock absorber 10 is constitued in such a manner that compression side damping force is generated in proportion to piston speed when not applied a brake while damping force F3 meetable to brake torque is generated in accordance with brake oil pressure, when applied a brake. Further it is constituted such that an internal valve is opened to contract the shock absorber in case of acting pressing force from below exceeding the damping force F3 due to the brake torque. In this way, brake wind-up action can be prevented.
