Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an optimum change-over timing of a brake for reducing a clamping speed of a mold in an injection molding machine.
CONSTITUTION: In a braking device of an injection molding machine, cartridge valves 8, 9 and 11, 13, 14 connected to cylinder chambers A, B separated across a piston 1a of a clamping cylinder 1 are opened/closed by a pilot hydraulic pressure through pilot change-over valves 17, 18, and the cartridge valves connected to any one of the cylinder chambers are actuated on a signal from a braking start detector 22. In this braking device, a controller 32 is provided for actuating the cartridge valves with the adjustment of a pilot hydraulic pressure to the cartridge valves on a signal from the braking start detector 22. In this manner, a proper pilot pressure regulated by a pressure regulating valve 33 acts to the cartridge valves from a pilot hydraulic pump 30.
