Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branch connecting structure for a flat circuit capable of branching the circuit with a small number of production processes and improving the reliability of the electrical connection.
SOLUTION: In a branch connecting structure for a flat circuit 21 which comprises a plurality of conductors 23 disposed with predetermined spacing and sandwiched between base films 24, 24, a branch circuit is formed by connecting a conductor 31 of a terminal 22 to each conductor 23 approximately at the center of the flat circuit 21 in a longitudinal direction, and by folding back he center of the flat circuit 21 in a longitudinal direction thereof. A chalking part 30A is provided between the conductor 31 of each terminal 22 and an electric contact 29 to be connected to a mating terminal, for holding approximately the center of the flat circuit body 21 in the longitudinal direction. Thus, each conductor 23 of the flat circuit body 21 is made connectable to the conductor 31 at the center in the longitudinal direction, and the flat circuit body 21 is made foldable at the center in the longitudinal direction thereby by using the chalking part 30A as a folding support.
