PURPOSE: To enable a fluid leakage test from a connected place between a main pipe and a branch pipe connecting joint used at the time of connecting a branch pipe to the main pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical supporting body 7 with a retainer 9 fitted thereto is screwed into a base seat 6 with a saddle 4 fitted thereto, and a seal member 8 is interposed between the supporting collar part 93 of the retainer and the cylinder part 62 of the base seat 6. A seal ring 60 serving for an airtight leakage test for judging the quality of sealing performance of the seal member 8 is fitted to the collar part 64 of the base seat 64. A clamping plate 110 is brought into close contact with the seal ring 60, and a soap-and-water solution is applied to the screwed place M of the clamping plate 110 to judge that the airtightness is good or bad.
