A branch pipe holding device 100 holds a cylindrical branch pipe 2a around which a belt like wound object 1 is wound and includes: a rotation operation member 71 which is provided so as to be rotationally operated; a holding member 20 which obtains a driving force through rotations of the rotation operation member 71 to move between a holding position where the holding member 20 holds the branch pipe 2a and a release position where the holding member 20 releases the holding of the branch pipe 2a; and a torque limiter 72 which limits the driving force transmitted from the rotation operation member 71 to the holding member 20.
