To provide a novel branched fluorine-containing compound.SOLUTION: Provided is a branched fluorine-containing compound represented by formula (1). [In the formula, L represents a prescribed carbon-containing linker part; Rf's may be the same or different and represent fluoroalkyl groups, which may have one or more ether bonds; Y's may be the same or different and represent prescribed bivalent linking groups and bonding hands; n1 represents a number of 1 or more; n2 represents a number of 1 or more; n1+n2 represents a number from 3 to 6; X's may be the same or different and represent prescribed bivalent linking groups and bonding hands; A's may be the same or different and represent -ArSO3M's and the like, where M's may be the same or different and represent hydrogen atoms, -NR4's, or metal salts, where R represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-C4 organic group.]SELECTED DRAWING: None
