PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a branching filter which is suitable for separating a first signal having a frequency within a first frequency band and a second signal having a frequency within a second frequency band when the first frequency band and the second frequency band are relatively close to each other, and which allows for reduction in its loss and can be small-sized.SOLUTION: A branching filter 1 includes: a phase shifter 10 that is provided between a common port 2 and a first signal port 3; a notch filter 20 that is provided between the common port 2 and a second signal port 4 and prevents a first signal having a frequency within a first frequency band from passing through; and a band pass filter 40 that is connected to the first signal port 3. The band pass filter 40 is configured by using an acoustic wave resonator. The phase shifter 10 is comprised of: series capacitors C11 and C12 connecting the common port 2 and the first signal port 3; and an inductor L11 connecting a junction point of the capacitors C11 and C12 with a ground.
