Abstract:

To provide a brazed cutting tool, in particular, an excavating tool which is excellent in bonding strength in which a tip is firmly bonded to a holder.

In a brazed cutting tool 20 in which a tip 10 is brazed to a holder 20 with a Cu brazing filler, a brazed part of the tip 10 and the holder 20 comprises a Cu brazing filler layer 4 of approximately same composition as that of Cu brazing filler used in the brazing, Fe+Co brazing filler layers 3, 3 formed on each side of the Cu brazing filler layer, and a tip Cu diffusion layer 1 and a holder Cu diffusion layer 2 in contact with the Fe+Co brazing filler layers 3, 3. The Cu brazing filler layer 4 is 20-350 μm in thickness, and the Fe+Co brazing filler layers 3, 3 are 2-20 μm in thickness, respectively, the tip Cu diffusion layer 1 is 20-200 μm in thickness, and the holder Cu diffusion layer 2 is 20-200 μm in thickness.
