Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably detect the presence of a crossing gate lever even when the raising position of the crossing gate lever is slightly changed by a method wherein the breakage of the crossing gate lever is detected based on a sensor signal outputted from a crossing gate lever sensor.
SOLUTION: A breakage detecting device 1 for a crossing gate lever is provided with a crossing gate lever sensor located in a sensor box 2 and detecting a crossing gate lever 3. The crossing gate lever sensor arranged in the sensor box 2 consists of a sensor, a switch element, a photo sensor, a magnetic sensor, and an acoustic sensor, which utilize electromagnetic coupling. The crossing lever 3 is detected and generates a sensor signal. As noted above, when the tip part of the crossing gate lever is contained in the sensor box, even when the position of the crossing gate lever is slightly changed, high damping does not occur to a sensor signal and the crossing gate lever is reliably detected.
