PURPOSE: To prevent the buckling of a flexible tube, to make the overall length of a breakage preventer shorter and to obtain good operability by gently changing the flexibility of the part further from the hard part.
CONSTITUTION: The breakage preventer 5 is formed of, for example, urethane rubber or other elastic materials and is so formed that the outside diameter thereof increases gradually toward an operation part 2 side and that the outside diameter changes by drawing a large curve on the operation part 2 side and changes gently to a tapered shape of a small gradient in the part further from the operation part 2. Since the outside diameter size of the breakage preventer 2 changes gently in the part further from the operation part 2, the flexibility thereof changes gently as well and if the flexible tube 3 of an insertion part is bent by external force, the flexible tube 3 of the insertion part is bent gently in the part fitted with the preventer 5 and is prevented from buckling.
