Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breaker which can prevent instantaneous outage of power supply to each portion of an electrical device due to an impact upon dropping.SOLUTION: A breaker 1 comprises: a fixed piece 2 having a fixed contact 21; a movable piece 3, provided with a movable contact 31, which presses the movable contact 31 against the fixed contact 21 so that they are brought into contact with each other; and a thermally-actuated element 4 which shifts, by being deformed due to temperature change, the movable piece 3 from a conductive state, where the movable contact 31 is brought into contact with the fixed contact 21, to a cutoff state, where the movable contact 31 is separated from the fixed contact 21. The breaker 1 further comprises: a first positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistor 5 which brings the fixed piece 2 into conduction with the movable piece 3 when the movable piece 3 is in the cutoff state; and a second PTC thermistor 6 which constantly brings the fixed piece 2 into conduction with the movable piece 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
