PURPOSE: To construct a breakwater forming a seaweed field suitable for a bay by forming the artificial ground between a main breakwater formed on the sea bottom ground and a submerged breakwater formed at a place apart from the main breakwater.
CONSTITUTION: A trapezoidal riprap mound 11 is formed on the sea bottom ground 1, and a caisson 12 is installed on the riprap mound 11. Foot protection blocks 13 are installed around it, and cover stones 14 are installed on the outer wall face of the quay of the riprap mound 11. Cover stones 22 are installed on the trapezoidal riprap mound 11 to form a submerged breakwater 20, and the upper end of the submerged breakwater 20 is set to the sea water level at the time of the ebb tide. The upper face 31 of the artificial ground 30 deposited with crushed stones on the sea bottom ground 1 is inclined toward the submerged breakwater 20 from the main breakwater 10 side. Cover stones 40 are installed on the upper face 31, a forestation reef 50 is installed in a gridiron layout, and a suitable seaweed field is formed. The replacing property of sea water is improved, and the effect on navigating ships by reflected waves can be reduced.
