PURPOSE: To facilitate selection of a branched amount of water transmitted to a print or a form roller from a dampening roller, and a shape, and distribution of an emulsified water particle in ink by a method wherein an irregular roller is provided in contact with an outer periphery of a viscoelastic rubber-like bridge roller restoring to an original shape after storing deformation by external force for a certain time.

CONSTITUTION: An irregular roller 2 having a fine irregularity on a surface is provided in contact with a rubber-like material bridge roller 1 having viscoelasticity fitted in contact with both rollers of a form roller 8 of an inking arrangement feeding ink to a plate cylinder 9, and a dampening roller 7 of a water arrangement 17 feeding dampening water to the plate cylinder 9. Herein the bridge roller 1 has an outer peripheral surface of rubber-like material having viscoeleasticity wherein the bridge roller 1 is deformed by applying external force thereto, and restored to an original state after storing deformation for a certain time. Then, the bridge roller 1 is freely rotatably fitted thereto, and revolved following both rollers of the forme roller 8 and the dampening roller 7.
