Abstract:
In a process to weld manufacturer a high speed high load bush bearing (2) and stop plate, the stop plate is welded to the bush external periphery while held by a clamp. The weld (10) is effected between the bush external surface (12) and the inner face of the stop plate (3). The stop plate is presented at an angle alpha +/- ( over its whole periphery. alpha corresponds to the angle required between the stop plate and bush. ( is a cooling correction angle. Also claimed is a clamping jig.
