Abstract:

PURPOSE: The titled briquet efficiently combustible and evolving neither CO nor smoke, which is prepd. by mixing a carbonaceous powder contg. coal as a major raw material with crushed rice hull.

CONSTITUTION: 10W20% powdered material prepd. by crushing dried rice hull 2 which is hard husks of rice, is added to and mixed with carbonaceous powder/ contg. coal as a major raw material and the resulting mixt. is pressure molded into a desired shape.

EFFECT: Rice hull is a hard fibrous material excellent in combustibility and easily ignitable, and, when inflamed, it burns like flying sparks, forming a cavity, which facilitates heat transfer and induces combustion of the carbonaceous powder, so that it is possible to keep complete combustion of the entire briquet.
