In a broadcast receiver having plural kinds of information access functions including the looking and listening of television programs and prefixed kinds of information acquired from data broadcasting, the operational history information of a user is stored in a storing section 60 and, at the time of actuation, etc., a data processing section 40 fetches the operational history information of the user, decides the taste of the user or an information outputting environment suitable for the taste at every prefixed item, and actuates a control section 30 which controls peripheral equipment by setting an environment parameter indicating the decided result in an internal memory.
