To provide a broadcast receiver, capable of executing a stable AFC operation with sufficient temperature characteristics and variable width, corresponding to necessary frequency deviation.
A double superheterodyne system broadcast receiver is added with a first oscillation circuit for oscillating with a first output frequency to be used by connecting an oscillator, having prescribed temperature characteristics to a varicap whose capacity is variable according to a frequency error signal from an OFDM decoder. A coil, having a secondary coil, is used for the coil of an LC oscillation circuit constituting a frequency-converting part, and the first output frequency from the first oscillation circuit is multiplied and injected to the secondary coil of the coil of the LC oscillation circuit, and the oscillation frequency of the LC oscillation circuit is controlled to the multiplied frequency. Thus, the necessary local oscillation frequency and variable width, corresponding to the frequency deviation of the OFDM signal, can be ensured by the first oscillation circuit.
