To provide a broadcast receiving apparatus that dispenses with the need for switching operation of tuners in zapping operation, and to provide a remote controller.
The broadcast receiving apparatus, when it is decided that all channel information of a first tuner 102 is selected in a channel decision part 502, issues a tuner switching request to a tuner decision part 503 via a tuner control unit 115 from the channel decision part 502. The tuner decision part 503 performs tuner switching control to a tuner switch 105 via the tuner control unit 115, and outputs a signal from a second tuner 104 to a video/audio processor 106. The same operation is repeated also for the second tuner 104 for making the switching operation of tuners in the zapping operation unnecessary.
