Abstract:
To provide a broadcast reception device and a broadcast reception method which enable a user to comfortably view a digital broadcast program.SOLUTION: The broadcast reception device according to one aspect of an embodiment comprises a control unit, which acquires program type information indicating a type of a digital broadcast program, and on the basis of a result of comparing a reception intensity of the broadcast radio waves of a digital broadcast with a threshold based on the acquired program type information, switches a reception mode of the digital broadcast between a first reception mode for receiving one segment broadcast and a second reception mode for receiving full segment broadcast.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
