Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the new compound useful as a contrast medium, especially an X-ray contrast medium, having excellent X-ray shielding performance and organism compatibility and low accumulation in an organism free from toxicity.
CONSTITUTION: A brominated perfluorocarbon of formula I [R1 is a (Br- substituted) 2-5C perfluoroalkyl; R2 is a 2-5C perfluoroalkyl, a 5 to 7-membered ring structure integrated with a group of formula II, preferably a ring of formula III; A is a group of the formula (CF2)n ((n) is an integer of 3-5) or formula IV (R3 and R5 are each F or a 1-3C perfluoroalkyl; R4 is F or Br)] such as a compound having a structural formula of formula V. The compound of formula I, for example, is obtained by electrolytically fluorinating a raw material and brominating in the case of a monobromide derivative.
