This motor is constructed in a following way: By forming a sliding surface 8d formed into a recessed curved face along the outer periphery of the commutator 6 and an inclined surface 8e formed into a recessed curved surface meeting the curved surface of the sliding contact surface 8d, an edge 8f crossing the inclined surface 8e of the sliding surface 8d is formed so as to be straight when viewed from the front side, and a sliding-contact width S in the direction of a motor shaft 4 is maintained so as to be roughly constant.
