To provide a brush motor which can elongate its life by improving the rectification state and reducing the deterioration of sliding characteristics at a contact face between a brush and a commutator caused by spark.
The brush motor is equipped with a rotor B which has a commutator 1 being constituted by arranging a plurality of segments 2 each having low-resistance material 2A and high-resistance member 2B in the circumferential direction of a shaft 5 via undercuts 4 and an armature 11 which is provided integrally with this commutator 1 and where concentrated winding is applied, a brush 3 which is slid on the end face of the armature 1, and a stator A which is arranged in opposition to the rotor B. Herein, each segment 2 of the commutator 1 has such constitution that the low-resistance member 2A is arranged on the front side in the rotational direction of the rotor B and the high-resistance material 2B on the rear end side.
