Abstract:
To provide a brush made of a woven material which is capable of suppressing dropping of brush threads from a base cloth even when cut into a desired shape, and a rotary brush.SOLUTION: A brush 33 is fitted to a rotary body 31 which is rotatably fitted to a head of a vacuum cleaner and has grooves 34 to whose peripheral surface blades 32 are fitted so as to cover the peripheral surface of the rotary body 31 while avoiding the blades 32 fitted to the grooves 34. The brush 33 is composed of fabric that has a base cloth 50 made by weaving warp yarn and weft yarn and a brush thread 51 woven into the base cloth 50. The base cloth 50 has: a brush region 53 where the brush thread 51 is woven in; and a non-brush region 54 where no brush thread 51 is woven in. The non-brush region 54 is arranged between the brush region 53 and an edge of the base cloth 50 so as to encircle the whole brush region 53.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
