PURPOSE: To maintain excellent cleaning performance over a long period of time and to substantially prevent the flawing of a body to be cleaned by consisting fluff of conductive fibers contg. conductive components and forming these fibers in such a manner that the tips thereof are sharply pointed.

CONSTITUTION: The fluff fibers of the brush 1 are made of the composite fibers consisting of plural layers composed of a polymer A4 contg. the conductive components and a polymer B5 which does not contain the conductive components. The polymer components of the polymer A and/or the polymer B are polyamides and/or polybutyrene terephthalate. The front ends of the fluff fibers have the sharply pointed shapes and, therefore, if this brush is used as the fur brush of an electrophotographic copying machine, the brush prevents the triboelectrostatic charge of residual untransferred toners, a photosensitive body and the brush itself as the fluff fibers have an electrical conductivity. The scraping of the residual untransferred toners from the photosensitive body to the brush is expedited and the removal of the toners from the brush is efficiently executed.
