PURPOSE: To provide a sanitary brush on which fungi, bacteria, etc., will not easily propagate, by making the naps of the brush from plastics, and allowing each nap at least in its facial layer to contain a dissoluble glass containing Ag ions, from which Ag ions elude little by little.

CONSTITUTION: Naps of a brush concerned are formed from a resin material 3 specifically prepared therefore, in which a dissoluble glass 2 containing Ag ions is included. This glass shall assume the form of particulates of particle size under 200μm, preferably under 50μm. Exceeding 200μm hinders uniform dispersing in the material used in the shaping process. The content shall preferably lie within the extent 0.1-10wt.%. Below 0.1% leads to insufficient anti-bacterial effect to be exerted by the Ag ions, while over 10% makes it difficult to include in the material for shaping.
