Abstract:
To provide methods, systems, and apparatuses including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for building and programming quantum hardware for quantum annealing processes.SOLUTION: In a method according to the present invention, a control system receives a machine-readable machine-learning optimization problem and codes the optimization problem into a designed Htotal energy spectrum, devises a quantum governor (QG) by selecting one from a QG distribution, receives and stores an output provided by quantum annealer (QA) hardware, and determines if a given number of iterations of a QA schedule have been completed. The QA hardware receives initialization parameters and control parameters of the QG, implements a quantum annealing schedule to obtain an eigenstate of a combined QA-QG system, and provides an output represented by the eigenstate and its corresponding energy spectrum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
