To provide a building structure capable of making the work easier for covering heads of machine screws applied to vent battens and vent furring strips.
Covering members 61 are fitted to grooves 44 made on outer surfaces 42b and 72b of a batten body 42 and a furring strip body 72 and, in this way, each head enlarged 56 of a machine screw 51 inserted to a screw hole in the groove 44 can be covered with a covering member 61. Thus, each machine screw 51 can be covered and fixed by using the batten body 42, furring strip body 72 and covering member 61 each having a lower thermal conductivity than that of the machine screw. Therefore, the machine screw 51 is not exposed to cold air and thus no dew condensation occurs on the surface of the machine screw 51. In this way, each column 11 having a square section, column 12 and wall member 32 are certainly able to prevent any corrosion and deterioration by means of their simple configuration.
