PURPOSE: To permit the exact holding of bulb from inside by expanding the elastic contact portion of a fixed packing cylinder by fitting taperingly a movable cylinder into a fixed cylinder in order to touch it with the inside of bulb in the coating of the inside of bulb of an electric lamp.

CONSTITUTION: When the movable cylinder 12 is pushed up by the pusher 18, the bulb 3 is convered on the fixed packing cylinder 11 and the bracket 13 by the bulb chuck 19. Then, the cylinder 12 is lowered by lowering the pusher 18 and the peripheral surface 12b of the expanded portion 12a and the inside surface 11b at the tip corresponding to the contact portion 11a of the cylinder 11 are ftted into each other taperingly. The contact portion 11a is deformed elastically and its outside diameter D2 is expanded, resulting in a close contact between the inside surface at the upper end of the neck portion 3a of the bulb 3 and the periphery of the contact portion 11a. Under such a condition, a coating powder is atomized through the cylinder 12 into the bulb 3 above the contact portion 11a and then a coating boundary line is clearly and linearly formed on the said contact portion.
