Abstract:

To provide a bulky biodegradable yarn which has bulkiness suitable for use in a car mat or a carpet and has a biodegradable performance, and to provide a method for producing the yarn.

This bulky biodegradable yarn comprising multifilaments comprising a biodegradable polymer consisting mainly of an aliphatic polyester, characterized in that the filaments are bent in random directions or interlaced with each other, have loops and slacks, and have a crimp percent of 5 to 25%.
