Abstract:
To provide a bumper device which has a short entire length when the bumper device is retracted.SOLUTION: A bumper device 50 has two front arms 60, 61, two rear arms 65, 66, connection links 67, 68, and a cylinder. The two front arms are rotatably engaged with a member belonging to a vehicle at front portions with respect to the vehicle. Each of the two rear arms is rotatably connected to the front arm at one end and rotatably connected to a member belonging to a bumper body at the other end side. The connection links are rotatably engaged with the two front arms or the two rear arms. Engagement positions of the connection links and the two front arms or the two rear arms are offset from engagement positions of the member belonging to the vehicle or the member belonging to the bumper body. The connection links are linearly moved by the cylinder and a relative angle between the two front arms or the two rear arms is changed to move the bumper body in a vehicle fore and aft direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
