A bundle cutter 100 comprises a bundle feed mechanism 20 to move stacked bundles in the stacking direction, a lift conveyor 30 to cut the bundle at the predetermined cutting position upward, a holding conveyor 40 which holds and restricts the cut bundle between the lift conveyor 30 and itself and carries the bundle, a guide member 50 to deliver the cut bundle by a pair of conveyors 30 and 40 to a next step while changing the attitude of the bundle, and an urging mechanism 60 to urge the holding conveyor 40 toward the lift conveyor 30. The holding conveyor 40 is displaced by the urging mechanism 60 according to the thickness of the bundle passing through between the conveyors 30 and 40, and the carrying attitude of the bundle can be stabilized.
